For sometime I’ve been sharing files from men Synology NAS and the links that are created by QuickConnect were really starting to annoy me. For example: http://gofile.me/6TrsR/9dfDkshdfn (Not a real link as far as I’m aware 🙂 )
I wanted to use my own domain name for the links that are sent out.
It also had the problem where the gofile.me link would redirect to the internal IP address rather than the external making the link useless.
To fix:
- Go to DSM Settings
- QuickConnect
- Advanced
- Untick the file sharing option
Now your links should now be working with your own domain name / Dynamic Host name – or if you don’t have any of those setup, it will use your WAN IP Address.
